How long will it take for my application to be processed?

Once all of your paperwork has been submitted, it will take a few weeks to process the application. Following this process, you will be placed on a waiting list.

How do I send an emergency work order?

To submit an emergency work order, please call Emergency Maintenance at 501-831-2961

How long is the waiting list for an applicant?

The wait depends on the rate of turnover in the rental assistance programs and the level of funding made available by HUD.

What is the most rent Section 8 will pay?

In most cases, the local housing authority, funded by HUD, will pay about 70% of rent, while the tenant will pay the other 30%. Fair Market Rents determine the max rent that a Section 8 will be able to charge the resident.

What is Fair Market Rent?

Fair Market Rent “FMR” are statistics developed by HUD to determine payments for housing assistance programs like the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
