The Jacksonville Housing Authority is served by a five-member Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Jacksonville. They serve a five-year term with one member's term expiring on March 17 of every year. There is no limit on the number of terms a member may serve.

James M. Durham - Chairman

Mr. Durham joined the BOC in August 2006 and his current term expires on March 17, 2010. Mr. Durham is a property manager/owner/developer.

Mike Wilkinson - Vice Chairman

Mr. Wilkinson joined the BOC in August 2006 and his current term expires on March 17, 2011. Mr. Wilkinson is a Certified Public Accountant.

Marilyn Canon - Commissioner

Ms. Canon joined the BOC in August 2006 and her current term expires on March 17, 2009. Ms. Canon is a retired Paralegal.

Addie Gibson - Commissioner

Ms. Gibson joined the BOC in October 2006 and her current term expires on March 17, 2012. Ms. Gibson is currently a school teacher.

Jon Johnson - Commissioner

Mr. Johnson joined the BOC in August 2006 and his current term expires on March 17, 2013. Mr. Johnson is an attorney.
